Massimo Moratti claims Man Utd target Lucas Moura subject of €45m PSG bid

Paris Saint-Germain are ready to pay €45million to hijack Lucas Moura's move to Manchester United, Inter Milan president Massimo Moratti has claimed.

United were widely expected to win the race to sign Moura this month, but reports in South America on Monday suggested a move to PSG could be on the cards.

Globoesporte had reported that the 19-year-old is not keen on moving to Manchester and that the big-spending Ligue 1 outfit were ready to offer him a five-year deal.

Inter are also keen on signing the Brazilian, but are not believed to have tabled an offer anywhere near the €30m offered by Man Utd recently.

And according to Moratti, PSG are ready to offer €15m more than the Premier League club.

"We would never have gone up to that sum," Moratti told Sky Sport Italia.

"In any case, there are no regrets that we didn't finish off the move, as the cost was already pretty high a few days ago.

"The €45 million that PSG offered is completely illogical and for us it would have been very out of key with our approach.

"PSG are starting a new era, so they are completely reconstructing the squad. At least I can relish the fact I'm saving money."

Moura last week announced he plans to make a decision on his future at the conclusion of the Olympic Games in London.
