Liverpool FC tell PSG and Real Madrid CF that Luis Suarez is not for sale - report

Liverpool will reportedly reject any bids from Paris Saint-Germain for striker Luis Suarez.

Suarez has been linked with a number of clubs in recent days following last weekend's clash with Manchester United defender Patrice Evra.

Suarez and Liverpool were forced to issue public apologies last Sunday after the Uruguay international refused to shake Evra’s hand prior to the Premier League clash between the two teams at Old Trafford.

The high-profile snub had come after the 25-year-old recently returned from an eight-match ban, issued for racially abusing Evra last October.

It has been suggested in recent days that Liverpool could be prepared to sell the former Ajax forward at the end of the season, with Reds owner John Henry said to fear that the bad publicity around the recent racism allegations could have a negative impact on future commercial deals.

Real Madrid are thought to be keen on the striker, along with Inter Milan, Juventus, and Palermo, while reports in France on Thursday had claimed PSG officials had already made contact with the player’s representatives about a summer move.

But according to The Sun, Suarez has been told by his employers that he still has a future on Merseyside.

A move to PSG would have seen Suarez playing alongside international team-mate Diego Lugano, who has defended his compatriot on a number of occasions since last October's alleged incident.

Earlier this week, reports suggested that Suarez's representatives had sounded out several clubs about a possible move, including Inter and Real.
