There are two games taking place this afternoon in the Premier League, Chelsea and reigning champions Manchester City both in action on the opening weekend of the 2012-13 season.
Sunday's Premier League action gets underway at 1.30pm and at the DW Stadium, Wigan play host to a Chelsea side who have been busy in the transfer market this summer.
Chelsea boss Roberto Di Matteo has already spent over £65million this summer on the likes of Oscar, Eden and Thorgan Hazard, and Marko Marin, but is known to be keen on bringing in a striker to replace Didier Drogba, who left the club at the end of last season.
In addition, the Blues want to add Marseille defender Cesar Azpilicueta to their ranks this month, while Wigan winger Victor Moses is also on the Italian's shopping list.
Speaking in his pre-match press conference, Di Matteo said of Moses: "We've played against him before. We know very well what ability he has.
"He's a young, talented guy...that plays for Wigan."
Whether Moses features against the club he wants to join remains to be seen.
After that clash takes place, the action stays in the north west, as at the Etihad Stadium, Premier League champions Man City play host to newly-promoted Southampton.
City might only have added Jack Rodwell to last season's title winning squad so far, but they remain the team to beat. Nobody has beaten Roberto Mancini's side at the Etihad for 29 games - a run dating back to December 2010.
They've ominously improved in pre-season too, with last Sunday's Community Shield win over Chelsea making it six wins in a row over the summer.
