Angel Di Maria: Real Madrid CF out to beat FC Barcelona and 'win everything'

Angel Di Maria is hopeful Real Madrid can beat rivals Barcelona in La Liga and in the Champions League this season.

Madrid won La Liga last season and Di Maria believes Jose Mourinho's side must be ready to challenge for honours in all competitions during the 2012-13 campaign.

"Will this be our year in the Champions League? I hope so, but let's hope that it's not only the year we win the Champions League," the Argentina international told the club's official website.

"Right from the start we're conscious that we're out to win everything and that we're going to fight to win all the titles, which is what Real Madrid must do year after year."

Los Blancos this take on Barca later this month in the Supercopa, and Di Maria, who this week signed a new deal which ties him to the club until 2018, is looking for a win to get the season off to a good start.

"Last year we faced them pn various occasions and we know that we have all the chances in the world to beat them," he added.

"In addition, it's all going to happen in our first match back at the Santiago Bernabeu, and that's very important for us."
