Serie A betting through up some shock results last weekend with none of the top three sides winning.

Inter Milan, Juventus and AC Milan will be looking to enter the Winter break on a positive note, with the January transfer window bringing the promise of new resources and fresh impetus.

Juventus failed to shake off the hangover from their Champions League exit, losing 3-1 at Bari last weekend. Ciro Ferrara has held on to his job, but the club have appointed Roberto Bettega as a director at the club. The Juve legend, returns to the back room staff as the club look to emerge from a difficult period. The Winter break couldn’t come at a better time for the Old Lady, as it will allow Ferrara to re-group, and bolster his squad with last summer’s big signing, Diego, expected to return to the Bundesliga.

Sunday’s game at home to Catania offers a great opportunity to head into Christmas on a positive note. The visitors are rock-bottom in Serie A, with just one win all season, coming at home. However, the recent head-to-head stats between the clubs might suggest some caution before backing Juve. In the previous two seasons this fixture has ended 1-1, which would suggest that the Sicilians are value on the Asian Handicap Serie A betting at Pinnacle Sports: Juventus 1.885 (-1 & -1.5)*, Catania 2.040 (+1 & +1.5)* - a market priced to just 102%.
