Tony Hibbert causes Everton FC pitch invasion with first ever EFC goal (VIDEO)

Everton fans invaded the Goodison Park pitch on Wednesday night after Tony Hibbert scored his first ever goal for the club in his testimonial against AEK Athens.

Hibbert has waited a long time to score his first Everton goal, although your own testimonial is always an ideal opportunity to find the net and the defender made no mistake when the Toffees were awarded a free kick during the second half against AEK Athens.

Hibbert produced an excellent finish to make the scoreline 4-1 before being mobbed by his team-mates, although a smattering of fans invading the pitch to congratulate the full-back soon became a full-blown invasion as stewards struggled to cope with the Everton supporters looking to pat the head of the long-serving player.

Order was eventually restored and the game was allowed to continue, with Steven Naismith scoring a hat-trick as part of the 4-1 win.

Hibbert has made 253 appearances for Everton since 2000 and the 31-year-old remains part of the first-team squad ahead of the coming season.
