Saturday's round up of the top transfer stories from the past 24 hours...

- Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has confirmed the club have made a bid for Arsenal captain Robin van Persie.

- Arsenal have also received - and rejected - bids from Manchester City and Juventus for Van Persie.

- Arsenal will make a move for Atletic Bilbao striker Fernando Llorente if Van Persie does leave the club this summer, according to the Daily Mail.

- Sao Paulo claim to have rejected a €35million offer from Manchester United for Lucas Moura.

- Porto striker Hulk, who continues to be linked with a move to Chelsea, may not be allowed to leave the Portuguese club, according to his agent.

- Arsenal are considering launching a £15million bid for Santos playmaker Ganso, according to the Daily Mail.

- Liverpool are closing in on the £15million signing of Swansea midfielder Joe Allen, according to Sky Sports.

- Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers insists there is "absolutely no way" Andy Carroll will leave the club on loan - but has told Sky Sports News the club will consider any offers they receive.

- Wigan chairman Dave Whelan has told Chelsea to put together a £10million package if they want to sign Victor Moses.

- Chelsea, Manchester United, and Real Madrid, who have all been linked with Luka Modric, will have to pay £40million to sign the Tottenham playmaker this summer, according to Press Association Sport.

- Alvaro Pereira's agent insists Chelsea have not been in contact regarding the Porto defender.

- Marseille midfielder Stephane Mbia, who has been linked with several Premier League clubs, has admitted he is open to offers.
