Former world number one Nadal is a master when it comes to claycourt tennis, and his success at Roland Garros confirms that. The Spaniard comes into the season’s second Grand Slam on a high following his final win over Novak Djokovic in Rome, and Nadal will get his French Open campaign underway against Italian Bolelli, who is currently ranked 111th in the world.
Novak Djokovic is the reigning world number one and will have his sights set on adding the 2012 French Open crown to his Australian Open success earlier this year. The Serb has won the other three Grand Slam tournaments, but the Roland Garros title continues to elude him. Djokovic will look to end his wait this year, and he will begin his campaign with a first-round match against 97th-ranked Potito Starace of Italy.
Roger Federer, a 2009 winner at Roland Garros, will meet 77th-ranked German Toolas Kamke in round one, while British Number One Andy Murray, who is yet to win a Grand Slam title, takes on 69th ranked Tatsuma Ito of Japan.
