Rafael Nadal takes on Janko Tipsarevic this afternoon in the quarter-finals of the ATP Barcelona Open (14:30 BST start).

Nadal has won the Barcelona title in his last six attempts, and he’s definitely the man to beat this week. He now has a 32-1 match record in this event, and a 24-3 record for 2012.

Like the Spaniard, Tipsarevic made smooth progress in round two and took just 69 minutes to see off Frederico Gil in straight sets.

He goes into today's clash looking to reach his third ATP World Tour semi-final of the season.

Still, the Serb will need to do something special to cause an upset here. He has a 0-2 head-to-head record against Nadal, and has never come close to beating him.

On clay, we can expect Nadal to continue his dominance over Tipsarevic, and book a place in the final four.

Prediction: Nadal in two.
