Juan Monaco takes on Tommy Haas this afternoon in the final of the bet-at-home Open, looking to win his third ATP title of the season (13:00 BST start).

Monaco has often struggled against Nicolas Almagro, losing four of their six matches, but he produced one of his best matches of the season in Saturday's semi-finals to see off the Spaniard 3-6 6-3 6-4.

"I’m very happy with the way I played today," said Monaco after his win, which came after just over two hours of tennis.

"I played a great match to beat Almagro, the top seed and a Top 10 player. I’m very happy about that and getting through to the final. Tommy is an old player but very experienced and he will be the hero of the crowd. So, it’s going to be a difficult match."

It's been a great month for the world No. 14 on the European clay courts. He also made the final in Stuttgart last week, losing a tight final in three sets to world No. 8 Janko Tipsarevic.

34-year-old Haas stunned everyone by taking out Marin Cilic 7-6 6-0, rolling back the years in the second set as he obliterated the Croatian, dropping just five points on serve as he raced to victory.

Monaco leads 3-1 on the head-to-head, winning both their matches last year. Monaco triumphed in three sets at the Cincinnati Masters and 6-7 6-3 6-2 6-3 in the third round of the US Open.

Prediction: Monaco in three.
