Two big hitters will be going head to head as Fernando Verdasco and Marin Cilic meet in Miami.

The Marin Cilic vs Fernando Verdasco match is one of the more interesting fourth round matches taking place in Miami as the pair’s head-to-head series is tied at 2-2.

However Cilic has won the last two matches, both indoors and the formbook is in the Croatian’s favour. Cilic’s serve has been unstoppable so far, he is yet to face a single break point and he comfortably defeated Marcos Baghdatis in straight sets in the last round.

Verdasco had a very scrappy battle with Jurgen Melzer in which the Spaniard’s serve disintegrated, as he committing 12 double faults. Verdasco managed to hang in there and eventually won 3-6, 7-6, 6-1 but it is doubtful Cilic will be so lenient.
