The Monte-Carlo Rolex Masters are scheduled to start soon. Here's a quick preview along with a link to where the draw is available online.
The Monte-Carlo Rolex Masters is a Masters Series 1000 tournament on the ATP Tour and it is the first clay court tournament of the calendar year in the Masters Series. The draw for the event has been released and it is available online here:
2011 Monte-Carlo draw.
The event features all of the top players with Rafael Nadal, the defending champion, the top seeded player in the draw. He, along with the other players seeded in the top 8, will have a bye through the first round.
With the recent withdrawal of Novak Djokovic (knee) the Monte-Carlo Masters appear to be Nadal's to win, probably without much trouble. During the 2010 clay court season, Nadal cruised to the French Open title with an undefeated record and that included titles at Monte-Carlo, Rome, and Madrid ahead of his Roland Garros victory.
However other threats in the Monte-Carlo draw include Roger Federer, the two seed, David Ferrer, Fernando Verdasco, and Nicolas Almagro. Andy Murray is the three seed however he typically performs best on the hard court and grass court surfaces while his clay court results are rarely distinguished.
Two-time French Open finalist Robin Soderling, the last player to defeat Rafael Nadal in a clay court match, is also missing the Masters event as he is also out with a knee problem.
The tournament is scheduled to take place between April 10th and April 17th.
