Andy Roddick takes on Gilles Muller later today in the final of the Atlanta Tennis Championships (20:00 BST start).

Roddick is favourite to win today's ATP Atlanta final and he enjoyed one of his best wins of the season on Saturday night as he edged past John Isner, 6-4 6-7 6-4 in their semi-final showdown.

Isner smashed down 26 aces but he was struggling with his returns and Roddick made him pay.

Conceding the second set on a tiebreaker was harsh on Roddick, and he was relieved to prevent the match going into a decisive tiebreak by breaking in the tenth game of the final set.

"[Against] most people in a breaker, you can recover from losing one service point," he said after reaching the final.

"Against him, that's not necessarily the case. I'm not sure that I missed a ball besides a service return in the tiebreaker and still lost it. With his serve and weapon he has, a lot of times it's out of your control."

Roddick has beaten Muller in their last three encounters on the ATP tour. The tall left-hander served his way past Go Soeda in Saturday's semi-finals hitting 17 aces past the Japanese player for a 6-4 6-3 victory.

Roddick will prove to be a far tougher proposition.

Prediction: Roddick in three.
