Jo-Wilfried Tsonga takes on Lukas Lacko this afternoon in the third round at Wimbledon 2012 (16:30 BST start).

After suffering a heart-breaking loss at the French Open to Novak Djokovic, and more recently exiting the ATP London in the second round, Tsonga appears to be returning to form at just the right time.

The world No. 6 has looked sharp in his first two matches at Wimbledon, beating 2002 champion Lleyton Hewitt in round one, before defeating Guillermo Garcia-Lopez in four sets the second round.

Lacko is ranked 60th in the world, but his early showing at the All-England Club has defied his low ranking. In the first round, he defeated Adrian Ungur in straight sets to set up a meeting with Jurgen Melzer in the second round, which he eventually came through 6-4 6-7 3-6 6-3 6-4.

This afternoon's meeting will be the first encounter between the two players. Look for the Frenchman to advance.

Prediction: Tsonga in four.
