Juan Martin Del Potro takes on Andreas Seppi this afternoon in the second round of the men's singles at the London 2012 Olympic Games (15:00 BST start).

Del Potro missed out on the Beijing Olympics four years ago and the giant Argentine is loving every aspect of his first Games.

"I feel happy because I’m experiencing a lot of new things that I’d been waiting four years for," he told reporters at the weekend.

"These four years haven’t been easy. I think you have to enjoy yourself, without losing sight of your goal, without forgetting that you have to work and keep learning."

On hard courts Del Potro's chances of winning a medal would be being talked up, but grass is his least favourite surface. He was outplayed by David Ferrer in the fourth round of Wimbledon and it will be a surprise if he's still involved at the business end of the tournament.

That said, he still swept aside Croatia's Ivan Dodig 6-4,6-1 in the opening round in just over an hour.

Seppi eased to a 6-4 6-4 opening round win over the out of form American Donald Young and the world No. 28 will feel he has a slight chance having shown some decent grass court form this year, reaching the Eastbourne final in June.

Seppi should not be discounted.

Prediction: Del Potro in three.
