Rafael Nadal eliminates Andy Murray - Wimbledon 2010 results

Crunch Sports Staff - 2 Jul 2010

Nadal is through to another Wimbledon final as he dispatched Murray in straight sets.

Rafael Nadal has put himself into fantastic position to win his 8th Grand Slam title as he defeated British hopeful Andy Murray in straight sets in the Wimbledon 2010 finals.  Nadal was sharp and made few mistakes as he defeated Murray 6-4, 7-6, 6-4.

The complexion of the match could have been different as Murray had a set point in the second set that he failed to convert.  Also Murray opened the third set with a break before surrendering the lead later in the set as Nadal broke back.

Nadal now advances to play Tomas Berdych in the men's final on Sunday and Rafa, who won Wimbledon the last time he played in 2008, will be the heavy favorite to win that Grand Slam final.  Berdych will be in very tough as he will be making his debut in a Grand Slam championship against the current world number 1 on tennis's biggest stage.
