Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic Schedule of Play for Monday

Roger Federer plays Feliciano Lopez at Roland Garros on Monday as the Swiss Maestro begins his hunt for his 17th title.

Many of the top players were idle on Sunday as the 2011 French Open began play however that will change on Monday as more big names take to the courts.

Roger Federer, for example, will open his 2011 Roland Garros effort as he faces Feliciano Lopez in the first round. Lopez and Federer have played one another recently as the Swiss Maestro had fits with the Spaniard in Madrid and had to save a match point before prevailing.

Lopez is a tremendous underachiever at the French Open however as he has gone out in the first round in five of the the last six years.

Novak Djokovic, the world number two, will be in action as well in Paris as he faces Thiemo De Bakker.

De Bakker is not a bad clay courter but most of his success has come at the challenger level. He's suffered injuries lately but even if he was at 100% he would not appear threatening on Monday against the Serbinator.

Federer and Djokovic should both advance with Lopez perhaps capable of pulling off a first round shocker.

Both Federer's and Djokovic's matches are scheduled for Court Philippe Chatrier with the stadium start time at 11am CET. Djokovic's match is second on the Order of Play while Federer's is third.
