Federer advances with semi-routine victory over Michael Llodra.
Roger Federer has advanced through to the quarterfinals of ATP Toronto as he beat Michael Llodra earlier today 7-6, 6-3. Llodra appeared to be in the driver's seat early on in the match as he held an early break over Fed. However Federer overcame the break to win the first set in a tiebreaker and in the end he advanced at the 2010 Rogers Cup.
Last year Federer stumbled in the quarterfinals against Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and this year Federer will be in very tough against Tomas Berdych, himself a winner today.
Berdych has a two match winning streak going active against Federer from Wimbledon 2010 and Indian Wells 2010.
