It's good to see Roddick playing good tennis again but now he's drawn Federer.

Roger Federer and Andy Roddick are set to meet in the ATP Basel semifinals on Saturday and coverage for the match is available online with bet365's live streaming. Federer is the heavy favorite to win and to continue his string of consecutive finals appearances.

Roddick looks as though he is playing good tennis again after being absent as a force on tour for several months. The American did drop out of the top 10 a little while back however for the time being he is just inside it with some potential for growth during the remainder of the season.

As even casual tennis fans know Federer has completely dominated Roddick over the course of their careers as the Swiss Maestro is 19-2 heads up against the American. Nearly all of those matches took place in bigger events than the semifinals of ATP Basel and the two players have not met since their epic Wimbledon final in 2009 (Federer, 16-14 in the 5th).

Betting odds put Federer as a -400 (1/4) favorite (Paddy Power) while Roddick backers can do no better than +310 (31/10; Unibet). What's important to note with those odds and this match-up is that Roddick has fallen time and time again to Federer even when the American has otherwise been playing well.

The point with that is that -400, short as it may look, could actually be considered a valuable line as Federer has won over 90% of their head to head matches.
