John Isner takes on Spain's Pablo Andujar tonight in the second round of the Rogers Cup in Toronto (01:30 BST start).

Isner heads to Toronto ranked 11th in the world and a good summer swing for the American could see him back in the top ten. He rediscovered his mojo in July, winning Newport and making the Atlanta semi-finals.

He was rated as an outsider for a medal at the London 2012 Olympic Games but didn't have the best of draws and lost to Roger Federer in the last eight.

Isner pushed the Swiss close but couldn't repeat his Davis Cup heroics from February, losing in two close sets. Federer admitted he was mightily relieved once the match was over.

Ranked 44 in the world, 26-year-old Andujar is at his best on clay. He got outplayed by James Blake in the first round of Washington last week and he's just won a handful of matches all year when not competing on the dirt.

Andujar managed to scrape through a close three setter with Slovakia's Lukas Lacko in the first round, winning 6-2 4-6 6-2, but we can't see him going any further against an opponent who will be keen to get back to winning ways following his Olympic exit.

Prediction: Isner in two.
