Caroline Wozniacki takes on Bojana Jovanovski today in the first round of the Toray Pan Pacific Open in Tokyo (09:00 BST start).

Wozniacki won the KDB Korea Open at the weekend but isn't taking any time off to celebrate her victory. The Dane is scheduled to play today in round one of the Toray Pan Pacific Open, an event that she enters this year as the tenth seed.

Wozniacki recently dropped out of the top ten for the first time in a long while. Evidence suggests that she has every intention of making a return. Her form in Korea last week was impressive, and she capped her achievements with a superb 6-1 6-0 demolition of Kaia Kanepi in the final.

First up for the world No. 11 in Tokyo will be a meeting with Jovanovski, who is ranked just outside of the top fifty, and whose form has improved noticeably since she won the Baku Cup earlier this year.

Jovanovski is a capable opponent but she's going to need to be at her best to trouble Wozniacki today. Fatigue may be a concern for the Dane, but if it isn't, recent form indicates that she's going to be an incredibly tough player to beat this week in Japan.

Prediction: Wozniacki in two.
