Makarova has her first WTA title - now can she put together a Wimbledon run?

Ekaterina Makarova bested a very talented field in Eastbourne to capture her first title and she beat the resurgent Victoria Azarenka in the final in straight sets.

Unfortunately for the on-form Makarova, she appears to have a date with Venus Williams in the second round and that promises to end the Russians run.
