Quinton 'Rampage' Jackson takes on Ryan Bader tonight in a Light Heavyweight bout at UFC 144.
Jackson goes into tonight's bout at UFC 144 as the favourite to be victorious at the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan.
Due to the time zone difference, tonight's pay-per-view airs live as per usual in North America.
Although Jackson is the odds-on favourite to win tonight's semi-main event clash, he missed weight by 6lb on Friday.
Jackson later told Ariel Helwani on Fuel that an injury - which he did not disclose - prevented him from doing any running, which he blamed for weighing in heavy.
The 33-year-old confirmed that his injury had now healed and although he got down from 232lbs to 211lbs, he was unable to get any lower.
Will the weight issue lead to problems tonight? We'll know in a few hours time. He was widely expected to win this fight, but he did not look in his best shape at the weigh-ins.
Jackson is looking to get back to winning ways after losing last time out against Jon Jones and in Ryan 'Darth' Bader he faces an opponent who not so long ago looked like being a big name in the UFC.
Bader won last time out against Jason Brilz, but prior to that had also been beaten by Jones, and more recently Tito Ortiz, in what was a massively disappointing performance.
Although past his prime, Jackson remains a very good wrestler who has great knockout power, but Bader without doubt has the tools required to become one of the best in this division.
On paper this is not a good fight for Bader, who may have a similar skillset to Rampage, but is inferior in most departments. However, with the weight issues, we're not prepared to put our money behind Jackson winning tonight.
A Bader win will still be widely seen as an upset, but the odds are more in his favour than the bookmakers would have you think.
Prediction: Ryan Bader via TKO (R3).
