Extreme Rules Match
Brock Lesnar vs. John Cena
It is hard to see Lesnar, who will earn around $5million over the next year, returning to WWE and losing in his first match back. Surely even WWE wouldn't be that stupid (OK, so history tells us they can be that stupid).
The build to tonight's main event has been ok, but not great, although they can get things back on track tonight. For that to happen, they need to book Lesnar as a monster and have him pretty much destroy Cena. This shouldn't be a lengthy main event either. Make it short, make it intense, and have Lesnar look like a beast. Prediction: Brock Lesnar.
Chicago Street Fight for the WWE Championship
- CM Punk (c) vs. Chris Jericho
The title has taken a backseat to the feud between the two since WrestleMania, with Jericho attacking Punk's straight edge lifestyle and insinuating that his family is a bunch of drug users and alcoholics.
WWE booking history tells us that Punk loses here as he's in his own backyard and will have friends and family in attendance, but with Jericho on his way out at some point this year (at least for the short-term), perhaps a title switch isn't on the cards tonight. Prediction: CM Punk (but a Jericho win wouldn't be a surprise).
Two out of Three Falls match for the World Heavyweight Championship
- Sheamus (c) vs. Daniel Bryan
It's probably too soon to get the belt off Sheamus, but the chants for Bryan (well, for "Yes") since WrestleMania can't be ignored. It wouldn't come as a surprise if one of the falls ends even quicker than the 18 seconds that we had at WrestleMania, but otherwise they should get a decent amount of time (especially if Lesnar vs. Cena isn't going long). Prediction: Sheamus.
Falls Count Anywhere
- Randy Orton vs. Kane
There has been talk over the past week of Orton facing Lesnar at Summerslam, but even if plans change (it's WWE, they'll change a million times before August), there's little reason to put Kane over again here. Hopefully, this is the end of the feud. Prediction: Randy Orton.
Inter-Continental title match
- Big Show (c) vs. Cody Rhodes:
The 'Raw roulette' stips for this will be announced on the show. Their WrestleMania bout wasn't particularly bad and the feud overall has been pretty solid, so hopefully they can put together a decent match tonight. Prediction: Big Show.
Divas Title match
- Nikki Bella (c) vs. Beth Phoenix
We were expecting this to be Nikki vs. Kharma, who could appear tonight and play a role in the outcome of the match. It'll be short, and probably not sweet. Prediction: Beth Phoenix.
U.S Title match (airing pre-show via You Tube)
- Santino Marella (c) vs. The Miz
Putting a free match on YouTube seems like a crazy thing to do, but if WWE want to encourage people to stream the show on their computer rather than ordering the pay-per-view, then good luck to them. This will likely be a fun match to warm up the crowd. For the sake of a prediction: Santino Marella.
