WWE Over The Limit takes place this Sunday night and John Laurinaitis has been backed to keep his job by beating John Cena in the main event.
‘Big Johnny’ has been told he will lose his position as Executive Vice President of Talent Relations and General Manager of RAW and Smackdown if he loses to John Cena on Sunday. Laurinaitis has not been an active competitor for 12 years, but he is the huge odds-on favourite to be victorious this weekend.
Bookmakers had offered odds on a number of matches at WrestleMania last month, and with Brock Lesnar back in the spotlight also offering odds on the former UFC Heavyweight champion's return at Extreme Rules.
Cena vs. Laurinaitis again looks likely to be popular with wrestling fans, and bookmaker Paddy Power make the former Johnny Ace the 8/15 favourite to win this match, with Cena 11/8 to follow up his win over Lesnar by ending the era of ‘People Power’ in WWE.
Elsewhere on the card, CM Punk will defend his WWE Championship against former World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan. Punk has successfully fended off the challenge of Chris Jericho in recent months and is 4/9 favourite to win this highly-anticipated match-up, with Bryan 13/8 to walk away with the gold.
Sheamus, who beat Daniel Bryan for the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 28, faces a Four Corners Match with Randy Orton, Alberto Del Rio and Chris Jericho as he looks to remain the top man on Smackdown. The Irishman is the even money favourites to remain champion at the end of the pay-per-view, with Orton 13/5, Del Rio 10/3 and Jericho 9/2.
Layla made a shock return to action to win the Divas Championship last month and she is 4/7 favourite for her bout with Beth Phoenix, who is 5/4 to win the bout, while Kofi Kingston and R-Truth are 4/11 favourites to retain the Tag Team Titles against Jack Swagger and Dolph Ziggler, who are 15/8 to become the top tandem in WWE.
In the pre-game show, streaming live on the WWE Youtube page, Kane takes on Zack Ryder. Unsurprisingly, ‘The Big Red Machine’ is 2/9 favourite to claim a victory on the night, with Ryder 11/4 to pull off a major upset.
