Is Floyd Mayweather the Daddy?

Is Floyd Mayweather keeping something other than his opponent for May 3rd a secret?

WBC welterweight and junior middleweight champion Mayweather is used to making moves in the ring, but it seems he may have been making moves of another kind outside of the squared circle, and they could lead him into hot water with long-time fiancée Miss Jackson.

Female rap artist Lil' Kim is pregnant, and if the buzz from her friends and on Twitter is correct, it would seem that sports-betting loving Mayweather is the red-hot favourite to be named as the baby’s father.

But while the undefeated 37-year old, who could face Britain’s Amir Khan on May 3 is the bookies pick, an outside bet could be a mysterious and little known New York-based rapper called Mr. Papers who has claimed that he is the father.  

39-year old Lil’ Kim, real name Kimberly Denise Jones, is a multi-platinum selling rapper, and considered a pioneer in her field. Her biggest hits were 2001’s Lady Marmalade with Christina Aguilera, and 2003’s Magic Stick with fellow New York rapper 50 Cent – briefly Floyd Mayweather’s boxing promotional partner.

She has enjoyed a friendly relationship with Mayweather for several years, and she refers to him as her “BFF”. Lil’ Kim and Mayweather were reportedly seeing each in Las Vegas in September when he fought Saul Alvarez in a light middleweight unification match, even though Mayweather has been romantically linked with model Shantel “Miss” Jackson since 2011.

Mayweather is notorious for historically ducking rivals that may have threatened his unbeaten status like Manny Pacquiao. It remains to be seen if he intends to duck his responsibilities, should he be named as the baby’s father by Lil’ Kim, or if he will choose to come clean and “take it on the chin” – so to speak – for the first time in his career.
