Los Angeles Lakers, the Cleveland Cavaliers, and the Boston Celtics

Still the top three favorites in the futures market.

Depending on who you ask there are either 5 or 6 teams that can be discussed as serious threats for next year's NBA titles.  Here are those teams and their best betting prices that our staff found with popular Sportsbooks:

1.  Los Angeles Lakers, +240 (12/5), bet365.
2.  Cleveland Cavaliers, +350 (7/2), Ladbrokes.
3.  Boston Celtics, +475 (19/4), Blue Square.
4.  Orlando Magic, +1000 (10/1), Ladbrokes.
5.  San Antonio Spurs, +1400 (14/1), Betfred.
6.  Denver Nuggests, +1600 (16/1), bet365.

Our recommendation remains with the Los Angeles Lakers because they are in, what at this time appears to be, the less competitive conference.  In the Eastern Conference the Cavaliers, the Celtics, and the Magic will all be contending against each other for playoff positioning and after that they will each be battling just to make the finals.  Los Angeles, in the Western Conference, has only San Antonio and the Denver Nuggets to worry about and both of those teams are long shots for the title.

If you agree that the Western Conference is the weaker conference in the upcoming season then you have to think that the Lakers are going to have the easier regular season schedule with most of their games against Western Conference opponents.  With that they could easily have the best winning percentage going into the post-season and that would mean home court advantage throughout the playoffs, including the finals.

Go to either bet365, Ladbrokes, Blue Square, or Betfred to bet on NBA basketball futures.
