The Heat reclaimed home-court advantage in the 2011 NBA Finals as they defeated the Dallas Mavericks from American Airlines Center.
The Miami Heat are back in front in the 2011 NBA Finals as they lead Dallas 2-1 following an 88-86 win at the American Airlines Center on Sunday night.
The Heat, much like game two, held a large lead over Dallas during the game but saw the Mavericks chip away at the lead. Unlike game two Dirk Nowitzki was unable to deliver in the clutch however as he missed a foul-line fadeaway as time ran off the clock in the fourth quarter.
Nowitzki was still Dallas' best player as the seven footer posted a double-double for points and rebounds with 34 and 11 respectively.
The Mavericks' game plan now has to be to win games four and five from Dallas and then hope to win another game in Miami late in the series.
Game 4 is scheduled for Tuesday at the American Airlines Center with a start time of 9pm ET and television coverage on ABC.
