The Canadiens did some damage in the post-season last year and they will be in Boston tonight hoping to embark on another playoff run.
The Montreal Canadiens and the Boston Bruins will open their playoff series tonight from TD Garden in Boston as both teams make their 2011 Stanley Cup playoff debuts.
The Bruins enter the series as the higher seed however they did lose the majority of the games that they played against Montreal this season. The Canadiens went 4-2 overall against Boston during the regular season and that included one victory in Boston.
While that head to head record should give Montreal's side some confidence heading into the playoff series, Boston's side has to like the fact that the Bruins defeated Montreal 7-0 in their most recent game.
Like most lower seeds, the Habs have to be thinking "split" in the first two games in Boston as Montreal will want to take the series back to Quebec tied 1-1.
Tonight's game is starting soon (7pm ET) and television coverage is available from the following broadcasters: CBC (HD), RDS (HD), VERSUS (HD), NESN (HD).
