Arsenal midfielder Abou Diaby has admitted that he wants to play for either Real Madrid or Barcelona when he leaves the Gunners
Diaby and his Arsenal team-mates take on Barca in the Champions League next week and his badly-time comments come just days before their last 16 first-leg meeting.
Speaking to Don Balon, the France international has revealed he wants to play for either of the La Liga giants.
"At some point I would like to play for Barcelona or Real Madrid, but I would prefer to play for Barca, because I prefer their style," he said.
The Gunners are looking to avoid a repeat of last season's Champions League quarter-final, when Lionel Messi led the Spanish champions to victory over the Premier League side.
Diaby admits his side face an uphill battle to overcome the Catalan giants over the two legs.
"We know what to expect," he added. "Barca are a great team, and this year they are very strong."
The 24-year-old joined Arsenal in 2005, opting to move to north London from Auxerre instead of joining Chelsea.
