AC Milan are reportedly preparing to launch a bid for Ajax midfielder Christian Eriksen, who remains a target for Liverpool.
The highly-rated 19-year-old has been told by Ajax coach Frank De Boer recently that he could become "another Wesley Sneijder" over the next few years.
Arsenal are also believed to be keen on signing the Denmark international, but according to Sport365, the Premier League duo face competition from Milan, with the Serie A champions understood to have had scouts in attendance to watch the teenager in action for his country last week.
Eriksen, who was linked with a move to Chelsea earlier this year, is widely seen as one of the most promising teenagers playing in Europe.
Ajax had refused to sell the starlet during the summer transfer window, but it is thought their stance could change next year and clubs are preparing bids ahead of the transfer window reopening in January.
Speaking last Spring, Eriksen had admitted of a possible move away from Amsterdam: "I know I am not ready yet for the Premier League in England or Serie A in Italy.
"I have a lot more growing up to do first, and I am at the right place for that at this club and with this manager.
"One thing I know is that I will stay at Ajax for at least another season after this one."
