Team News:

Milan are likely to be without striker Mario Balotelli (thigh), while Christian Abbiati (calf) is also injured.

The injury-hit Italian giants also look set to be without Daniele Bonera, Mattia De Sciglio, Giampaolo Pazzini (all knee), while Stephan El Shaarawy (foot) is unlikely to be involved.

Barcelona travel to Italy with only Jordi Alba and Ibrahim Afellay (both thigh) unavailable.

Carles Puyol came through Saturday's goalless draw with Osasuna and could start in central defence.

Lionel Messi, Gerard Pique, Dani Alves and Alexis Sanchez will all likely return to the starting line-up having been rested at the weekend.

What they've said ahead of kick-off:

Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri: "We're still waiting to get players back namely Pazzini, Bonera, De Sciglio and Balotelli. It'll be tough against Barcelona but we have the right requirements to do well.

"There are three points available on Tuesday and they'll be important to get out of the group.

"Tomorrow's match is important for everyone but especially for the standings. It's always a fascinating game to play against them, it's a game of the highest level in Europe. They remain the strongest team in the world."

Barcelona coach Gerardo Martino (on the 0-0 with Osasuna): "With the chances that we had, we should have won. But I'm not worried because I didn't see my team take a step back in terms of performance."
