The agent of CSKA Moscow midfielder Keisuke Honda has ruled out a move to Arsenal.

The 25-year-old has been linked with Arsenal and Manchester United throughout the year and there had been speculation on transfer deadline day that the Gunners were closing in on the Japan international.

Honda was trending on Twitter following reports that he was on his way to London to undergo a medical ahead of a late move.

But his agent, Kees Ploegsma, told Sovetsky Sport: "Is it reported that Keisuke is in London? This is not true.

"He's in Japan with his national team.

"He won't sign anywhere, it's sure that he stays at CSKA."

Liverpool have also been linked with the player.
