Dinamo Zagreb starlet Mateo Kovacic has admitted it is an "honour" to be linked with Manchester United.
The 17-year-old, who has been compared to Lionel Messi and Diego Maradona, is believed to be on United's radar, while Arsenal and Juventus are both thought to be interested in signing him next year.
United are said to have scouted the young Croatian twice over the past couple of months as they consider a bid to lure him to Old Trafford.
And the teenager is aware of the interest in him.
"I am honoured to be linked to clubs like Juventus and Manchester United," he told reporters.
"For now I am happy here, but my day will come."
Kovacic left the door open for a possible move next year by adding: "Every footballer is dreaming of playing for one of the best clubs in the world."
Kovacic's comments come just days after his agent, Marcel Kacinari, revealed a move to England was a possibility.
He told Goal.com: "I will not hide the fact there was interest from Juventus a couple of months ago but nothing since then.
"It is most likely that he will go to England where the likes of Arsenal and Manchester United are leading the race."
He added: "Those clubs [Arsenal and Manchester United] are spending a lot of money investing in young talent and have the patience to wait."
