Preview:

Zenit play host to Benfica this evening in the first leg of their Champions League last 16 tie.

The tie will be subject to a pitch inspection prior to kick-off and Zenit have claimed the sub-zero conditions in Russia will hinder both sides.

Zenit's Aleksander Kerzhakov believes there will be no home advantage as a result of the bitterly cold weather, which he claims will adversely affect both sides.

Providing the game goes ahead, Zenit will be without Portuguese playmaker Danny (knee), while strikers Danko Lazovic and Alexander Bukharov are also set to miss out.

Defender Domenico Criscito is also sidelined, while the hosts have doubts over midfielder Roman Shirokov and goalkeeper Vyacheslav Malafeev.

Benfica travel to Russia without midfielder Javi Garcia, but defender Maxi Pereira is back in contention.
