Blackpool captain Charlie Adam has reportedly told the club he wants to join Liverpool
The two clubs have held talks over the sale of the 25-year-old over the past week and are yet to agree a fee for the Scotland international.
But the Merseysiders' hopes of signing Adam have been boosted as according to The Sun, the midfielder has told the club that he wants to move to Anfield.
Reports earlier this week suggested the Tangerines were wanting £12million for their skipper as the Reds looked to negotiate a cash-plus-player deal.
But according to Wednesday's report, Kenny Dalglish may have to offer Blackpool THREE players on loan PLUS £8m.
Midfield Jonjo Shelvey is expected to move to Bloomfield Road on a season-long loan as part of the deal, while right-back Stephen Darby could also be playing in the Championship next season.
Adam's Scotland team-mate, 19-year-old defender Danny Wilson, could also be included as part of the deal.
Aston Villa and Tottenham have also shown interest in signing Adam.
