Chelsea have failed failing to see the funny side of a billboard poking fun at record signing Fernando Torres and are reportedly considering legal action.
Torres, whose poor form since joining Chelsea from Liverpool in a £50million deal two years ago has been the butt of many jokes, was picked on by bookmakers Paddy Power for their latest advertising campaign.
On a giant billboard just yards away from Chelsea's Stamford Bridge ground, a Paddy Power poked fun at Torres with a picture of an onion bag and the words: "FERNANDO. We’ve got an onion bag you can actually find. It’s in the burger van mate. Get your hair net on".
A photograph of the billboard (above) has been shared thousands of times on social media, but according to the Daily Mail, the Blues have failed to see the funny side and have brought in a legal team to try and have the poster removed on image rights grounds.
They are yet to be successful with their quest to have it taken down, and the issue could even end up in court if it is not resolved.
