Ajax defender Gregory van der Wiel, who has been linked with Chelsea and Manchester United, has not yet agreed a move to Valencia, according to his agent.
Inter Milan, Juventus and Roma have also shown interest in the Netherlands international in recent weeks, but a report last week suggested Valencia coach Unai Emery is considering a bid for the full-back when the transfer window reopens next month.
A move to the Premier League is still not out of the question, although according to Hakim Slimani, the 23-year-old would be interested in a move to Spain.
"Valencia will have to reach an agreement with Ajax first," Slimani told Voetbal International.
"There's quite a good atmosphere, though."
He added: "Valencia would be a great next step in Gregory's career.
"They really want him as their new right-back and Valencia are a big team in a superb league."
