Real Madrid are reportedly ready to make a move to sign Atletico Madrid striker Radamel Falcao, who is a January target for Chelsea.
Falcao was linked with both Chelsea and Manchester City throughout the summer and is widely expected to be the subject of big-money bids from both clubs in the New Year.
Reports in recent days have suggested Chelsea have made the Colombia international their top January transfer target as manager Roberto Di Matteo looks to strengthen his attacking options in the New Year.
Falcao has already scored ten goals in just eight league games in La Liga this season and insists he hasn't considered leaving Atletico, but his father, who in September claimed a January move to England was "very likely", has also claimed that his son "dreams" of playing for Real Madrid.
And according to Fichajes.net, Los Blancos are preparing to make their move to sign the forward, who has a €60million buy-out clause in his contract, with super-agent Jorge Mendes said to be brokering a deal.
Earlier this week, Falcao had told Punto Pelota: "I will not leave the club at the moment.
"I have never thought of it. I do not have that desire in my head."
However, the 26-year-old hinted that a decision about his future could be out of his hands.
"I do not know what will happen tomorrow and it does not depend on me," he added.
"There are many factors to take into account, but the only thing I can say is that I am very happy."
