Fernando Torres could reportedly be included as part of a summer bid from Chelsea for Atletico Madrid striker Diego Costa.
According to several reports in Spain, Chelsea have agreed to meet Costa's £32million buy-out clause in the summer, while it has also been reported that Thibaut Courtois could be included as part of any deal.
But according to Metro citing reports in Spain, the Blues are considering offloading record signing Torres as part of a deal for the 25-year-old.
Chelsea are said to be prepared to offer Torres - who left Atletico in 2007 to join Liverpool - plus £20m in order to sign the Brazil international, who has been linked with several other Premier League clubs including Arsenal.
Bookmakers Stan James
on Thursday afternoon made Chelsea 2/1 favourites to sign Costa in their Diego Costa Next Club
market, ahead of Real Madrid (7/2) and Arsenal (8/1).
Spanish agent Francois Gallardo recently claimed a deal between Chelsea and Atletico was already in place, telling La Sexta: "Atletico knows it is impossible to hold onto him."
