Borussia Dortmund defender Mats Hummels, who has been linked with a move to Manchester United, appears to be on Barcelona's summer shopping list.
Reports last summer had suggested that Barca were considering launching a bid for the Germany international after failing to land top target Thiago Silva, who joined Paris Saint-Germain.
Man Utd have been monitoring the 24-year-old for some time, but speaking last week, the centre-back hinted that he was keen on a move to Camp Nou
And speaking to ZDF, Barcelona president Sandro Rosell has dropped a huge hint that he is keen on luring Hummels to Spain when the transfer window reopens.
"There's a German player I like very much, but I can't give his name because if we go for him in the end, his price will go up," Rosell said.
Rosell also commented on former Barca coach Pep Guardiola's decision to join Bayern Munich this summer.
"When I heard about the signing, I congratulated Guardiola and [Bayern Munich CEO Karl-Heinz] Rummenigge because I think it's the smartest decision for both parties," he added.
