Atletico Madrid striker Radamel Falcao, who has been linked with a move to Manchester United, has played down talk of a summer switch to Old Trafford.
Falcao has been linked with a number of top clubs from across Europe in recent weeks and is believed to be one of Chelsea's top summer transfer targets.
The Colombia international has also been linked with Juventus, Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid, but reports in Spain last week suggested United were looking to win the race to secure his services when the transfer window reopens.
United boss Sir Alex Ferguson last weekend played down talk of a move for Falcao
, but earlier this week, the Daily Mail
reported that the Scot sent chief scout Jim Lawlor to Madrid on Sunday to watch the forward score twice in Atletico's 5-0 win at home to Granada.
Falcao has moved to distance himself from the transfer talk, however, and insists he is focused on Atletico.
"In recent weeks I have tried to isolate myself and not think about the rumours about my future," Falcao told Colombian radio station RCN.
Of a summer move to Old Trafford, he added: "I do not really know where that information has come from. That is part of the press.
"I'm focused only on Atletico Madrid. I do not let the market rumours affect my performance."
