Team News:

Melbourne Heart will be without Harry Kewell (ankle), who was injured in midweek having finally overcome a whiplash injury.

Defender Patrick Kisnorbo (knee) also misses out.

Western Sydney Wanderers will be without Youssouf Hersi (foot), but midfielder Mateo Poljak could return to the starting line-up.

What they've said ahead of kick-off:

Melbourne Heart coach John Aloisi: "If we keep on playing the way we are playing then we’ll get the results. The other day [against Brisbane] we created enough chances to win two or three games but we have to be more ruthless in front of goal and so it’s up to me to get that across to the players.

"As a coach I just have to look at making sure we keep on creating the chances that we are creating and stop the mistakes that we are making, which are only minor, but they are costing us at the moment.

"I’m happy with the way we are improving. We’ve got a lot of new players and they’re getting used to each other. Michael Mifsud was better again on the weekend, Iain Ramsay is coming on really well, Rob Wielaert [as well] and these guys will keep on improving. We knew it was going to take a little bit of time to get to where we want to be but we feel that the results haven’t gone our way just yet."

Western Sydney Wanderers coach Tony Popovic (on Jerome Polenz): "The challenges were probably poorly timed and if the ref had deemed them differently there could have been a red card.

"We certainly don't go out telling our players to hurt the opposition and if we're talking about that certain player, Jerome, there's no malice in his body. He's a very good player and I think his record speaks for itself in terms of his discipline. He's mistimed some tackles and that's something that he and all of us need to be careful of. We go out there to of course play hard every week and play good football at the same time."
