Team News:

Newcastle Jets have Emile Heskey (knee) back in contention, while Taylor Regan has also been included in the squad.

But Mitch Cooper (knee) remains sidelined and is unlikely to return until next month.

Central Coast have Marcel Seip and Anthony Caceres available again, but Daniel McBreen is still away from the club, while Hayden Morton (knee) and Adam Kwasnik (groin) are not yet ready to return from injury.

What they've said ahead of kick-off:

Newcastle Jets defender Kew Jaliens (on the return of Emile Heskey): "He will give us more confidence and we can change our way of playing because Emile is strong in the air and can keep the ball more.

"It will give us more options in the attacking point of view and Emile knows when to head for the goal or when to just keep it, so he's also experienced in that."

Central Coast Mariners captain John Hutchinson: "It’s obviously a big game for our fans. We know they want this win more than any other game, so we’re hopefully going to win it for them.

"It’s a game where we need to back up our home form after beating Adelaide and we need to make sure our performance is better. We played well against Adelaide, but we played well in patches. The boys have had a good week at training, we are just looking forward to another derby kicking off."
