Champions League – PSV Eindhoven vs. Manchester United kick-off time

PSV Eindhoven vs. Man Utd takes place tonight in the Champions League.

The game, which takes place at the Philips Stadion, is scheduled to kick off at 19:45 BST and airs live in the United Kingdom on BT Sport 2/BT Sport 2 HD.

Speaking ahead of the game, Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has admitted that Wayne Rooney is set to miss the Champions League group stage opener.

Rooney sat out Saturday’s 3-1 win against Liverpool after returning to Old Trafford carrying a slight hamstring problem following England’s 2-0 Euro 2016 qualifier win against Switzerland at Wembley last Tuesday.

The weekend win moved United up to third position in the Premier League table, five points behind leaders Manchester City, while Van Gaal admitted that his captain is again set to be sidelined when they get their European campaign up and running in the Netherlands.

“I don’t think he should play on Tuesday,” the Dutchman said at the weekend.

“We don’t want to take any risks with our captain but you never know. It’s Saturday and we still have Sunday and Monday.”

Memphis Depay, who joined United from PSV in a £31million switch in June, will also be sweating on his place against his former club after being substituted for “tactical reasons” against Liverpool.

Van Gaal added: “In the third and fourth phase, he could have played the last pass better.”
