Team News:

Rayo have a couple of injury concerns, with Nery Castillo doubtful.

Real coach Carlo Ancelotti could name an unchanged side following Wednesday night's 7-3 demolition of Sevilla.

Midfielder Xabi Alonso (foot) came off the bench in midweek and is pushing for a start.

Should Alonso make the starting line-up, then Asier Illarramendi could drop to the bench.

Cristiano Ronaldo scored a hat-trick in midweek and Gareth Bale also impressed, and both could start again tonight.

What they've said ahead of kick-off:

Carlo Ancelotti (on the return of Alonso): "He is important for us; he has been here for a long time and has always been important. There will be more competition and that is good for the team and helps us all to improve. We have a match every three days and we will have to rotate to get rest The important thing is carry on as we are whoever plays."

Xabi Alonso: "Now is the moment to begin to talk to the club about my future. "While I was not fit I did not feel up to talking. I have good communication with the club."
