Team News:

Real Madrid will be without record signing Gareth Bale (thigh), while midfielder Xabi Alonso (toe) remains sidelined.

Los Blancos coach Carlo Ancelotti is also without Marcelo (thigh), but centre-back Raphael Varanne (knee) is back in contention.

Copenhagen travel to Spain with doubts over veteran defender Olof Mellberg (concussion).

Goalkeeper Johan Willand (arm) and Nicolai Jorgensen (groin) returned to action last weekend and should feature.

What they've said ahead of kick-off:

Carlo Ancelotti: "Things are still not coming naturally to the players, which is normal when you make changes. We need a bit more time so that the players can play the system in a more natural way.

"We are more vulnerable at the back and I think we have to find a balance between possession and a more balanced defence. And that's why we then always have to start from the back, faced with a compact team where it is hard to find efficient ways to attack."

Copenhagen coach Stale Solbakken: "Our immediate aim is to play a fantastic match here tomorrow and then to get maximum points against Galatasaray in Copenhagen. Obviously we need points away from home, too, and it is just possible that we could give Madrid a fright."
