Valencia have reportedly joined the race to sign Ajax defender Gregory van der Wiel, who has also been linked with Chelsea and Manchester United.
Chelsea have been linked with the 23-year-old throughout the year, with reports in Holland during the summer suggesting a deal was set to be completed before the summer transfer window closed.
Along with the Blues and Man Utd, Inter Milan, Juventus and Roma have also shown interest in the Netherlands international, but according to Superdeporte, Valencia coach Unai Emery is considering a bid for the full-back in January.
Van der Wiel's agent Hakim Slimani, who earlier this year said Chelsea were favourites to sign his client, last month insisted he was yet to see any formal offers.
"Nobody from England or Holland have contacted me, it is just rumours," Slimani told the International Business Times.
When asked about a move to England, he added: "He [Van der Wiel] has a contract for one and half years with Ajax.
"I honestly don't know. Everything will depend on Ajax."
