Wesley Sneijder has been urged to sign for Chelsea.
Sneijder had been linked with a move to the Premier League for over two years before he agreed to join Galatasaray during the January transfer window, with Manchester United known to be keen on signing the Dutchman.
Gala's sporting coordinator, Bulunt Tulun, last month claimed United failed with a bid to sign Sneijder shortly before the transfer window closed at the start of September.
But Chelsea have also been linked with the former Inter Milan and Real Madrid midfielder over the past couple of seasons, and Louis van Gaal has encouraged him to move to Stamford Bridge to improve his chances of making the Netherlands' World Cup squad next summer.
Sneijder has only started five of his country's last 10 matches, and Van Gaal has hinted that the 29-year-old should look to be reunited with Jose Mourinho at Chelsea if he wants to be part of the Dutch side for Brazil 2014.
"I know Chelsea and Jose Mourinho want Sneijder," he told Vatan.
"In my opinion, if possible Sneijder should leave Galatasaray and join Chelsea.
"Playing under Mourinho again would improve his performances and help him regain his form for the national team."
