Martin Klizan takes on Robin Haase this evening in the quarter-finals of the 2013 Grand Prix Hassan II in Casablanca (17:30 BST start).
Third seed Klizan progressed to the quarter-finals of the ATP Casablanca on Thursday, getting past Italian veteran Filippo Volandri in straight sets, 6-4 7-6. With the victory, the Slovakian was able to snap a four-match losing streak dating back to Marseille.
Klizan will be hoping that he's turned a corner, and he'll be searching for another win later today when he takes on Haase. The Dutchman was given a stern test by Kenny De Schepper in round two, who pushed him all the way to three sets.
Haase left the court with a 6-2 6-7 6-3 victory.
Haase is ranked over twenty places below Klizan but holds a 2-0 head-to-head record against him overall. The two wins were recent too, with one taking place this year on a hardcourt in Zagreb and the other last season on clay in Kitzbuhel. We can perhaps expect a close match today, as Haase's success in Zagreb was a narrow one (6-2 4-6 6-4).
Prediction: Haase in three.
